Pashmina Manufacturer in Nepal

Nepali Pashminas are considered to be the softest, most delicate, and fluffy fabric that has been made possible by the dexterity of Nepalese. The pashmina can be described as a high-quality handmade woolen product with a wide range of applications.

Consequently, it is very comfortable on the skin, which may explain Pashmina’s Kashmiri name, soft gold.

The result of the fibers makes the pashmina incredibly soft to the touch. Obviously, warmth and quality are the main criteria by which it is judged. But not all pashmina is created equal: The texture, color, and of course, quality varies. Fabrics have varying textures, colors, and lengths, all of which affect their manufacturing and prices.

The country’s export of pashmina products is the third-largest overseas industry, after readymade garments and hand-knitted woolen carpets. Pashmina was found in ancient times in its natural form, but these days it can also be found in a mixture of silk, cotton, and wool.

Eventually, with varied experience, pashmina yarn and silk yarn were combined, producing better durability, fiber strength, color pleasingness, and well-finished touch, which became prevalent in the world and recognized worldwide as “Nepalese Pashmina“.

In order to obtain cashmere or pashmina, one must obtain the wool of a Himalayan goat known as “chyangra” or “Capra Hircus”. They are native to the Himalayan range spanning 10,000 feet above sea level.

Chyangras are able to live in extreme cold conditions and rely on scarce vegetation for food. Their wool has the softest texture that can be found in nature. The pashmina wool has an exotic, soft texture with a soft and light feel.

Making pashmina is a very time-consuming process. The entire process must be done completely by hand, which is a very tedious process.

  • The first step is to make a pashmina which is made using the underbelly fur of the mountain goat. A beam is constructed using the beam to enable weaving. It then goes through the weaving process.
  • Following weaving, the fabric is repaired, washed, and a color test is conducted in a laboratory to ensure the color is approved. Once the color is approved, the fabric is dyed.
  • When the dying process is complete, the pashmina is checked for flaws. If there is one, it is repaired, and the fringe and designs are made. Because the fringe and design-making process is an artistic and delicate process, it requires considerable time and attention.
  • Afterward, the pashmina products are hand ironed. After hand ironing, heavy ironing is done. Next, the final products are labeled. Finally, the products are packaged.
